DOBSON, DARRYL L.
Addison, Ill. - Darryl L. Dobson, 46, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at his
home following a long illness. He was a native of Chicago and was retired
from the U.S. Air Force. He was recently employed as a technician in the
electrical field. In his spare time, he performed as a clown and magician
for area charity benefits. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Kruse, Addison,
Ill.; a son, Benjamin Dobson of Hammond; one daughter, Jennifer Dobson of
Hammond; one brother, Dewey Dobson Jr. of Hammond; one sister, Debra
Dickerson, Ponchatoula; four stepchildren and five step-grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Mary Dobson; and two
brothers, Dwane and Dwight Dobson. The funeral was Monday at the Oaks
Funeral Home in Itasca, Ill.

A resident of Hammond, he died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at his home. He was
77 and a native of Ellenboro, Wis. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War
II. Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 6 p.m.
to 10 p.m. Thursday and after 8 a.m. Friday. Religious services at the
funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Bill Russell.
Interment in Rose Memorial Cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Debra Dobson
Dickerson, Lansing, Mich.; two sons, Darryl L. Dobson, Chicago, and Dewey
L. Dobson Jr., Hammond; two sisters, Dorothy Hillson, Columbia, Mo., and
Carol Jeidy, Fennimore, Wis.; a brother, Donald Dobson, Madison, Wis.; and
eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary Moore Dobson; two
sons, Dwane and Dwight Dobson; parents, William and Evelyn Purkapile
Dobson; two sisters, Ann Schwerin and Wilma Dobson; and a brother, Edwin Dobson.
