Member Masonic Order. Visited White Sulphur Springs Lodge #122 on Feb 4 1901 and according to lodge records was examined and discovered to be a master mason. Attended White Sulphur Lodge a second time on Feb 28, 1901 and sat as senior deacon for the lodge at that meeting. Was known to wear pistols into church laying them on either side of the pulpit while preaching, such were the troubled times. Was member of Taylor Lodge #206 at Grapevine ArK. at time of death. was farmer and Preacher. Belonged to Missionary Baptist Church.
