Billie and Jennie did not have children together. After Billie died, Jennie made her home with stepdaughter Ollie Hicks Lowry and family( or perhaps they made their home with her).

Mrs. Jennie Hicks, widow of W.R. Hicks, died one day last week at her home near Pleasant Hill. She was 78 years old and survived by several step children. Interment was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery

Was a Pvt. in Company 'C' Forty Sixth TN. Vol. Inftry. enlisted Dec. 1861. under Col. Clark, Capt. John Harris, Frst. Lt. Bird Mc Kinney , second LT. Cal Pinson, thrd. Lt. Chas Kelly.
